Mystery Solved

Mackenzie is a really great communicator.
I think it's because she is a.l.w.a.y.s. talking :)

But for the past couple of months
there has been one word
no one could figure out.
We knew it was something food related but that was about it.
Until a few days ago.

Finally we figured out that the mystery word
Bergina
pronounced (Burrr-G {like the letter G}-na)
meant Peanut Butter and Jelly.

You should have seen the look on her face when we finally figured it out.
Pure victory!

Mystery solved!

What are some of your kids mystery words or funny mispronunciations?

  1. my 2 year old calls cereal "ceri" and popcorn "peepcon" She can say them both, if I have her repeat after me, but getting her to say it off right, forget about it

  2. My 4 year old is very easy to understand at this point, but apparently she has seen something on the television that she misunderstood and keeps repeating and asking us to say too. She want us to respond to her when she says, "I love you," with "I love you 33." Yes, 33. Strange. I can't figure out what the 33 has to do with anything or if she misunderstood. Funny kids!

  9. Not really a Mystery Word but my 6 year old doesn't say last night for some reason. It's yesternight. Which I guess makes sense - if it happens in the day it's yesterday...so last night should be and is, in our house yesternight. I think it's kind of cute; I should probably correct him. :)

  10. my son, wesley, called his pacifier 'assy' for a while, we call it sucky. he grew out of that one.

now he's 3 1/2 and for some reason refers to pooping as 'making dirt', which is weird enough but he like to 'make dirt' with the door closed and the light off (our bathroom has no windows). today he had to make dirt right when i had to go in the shower, so i showered in total darkness. the things mommies do!
