Who needs toys

Who needs toys
when you have

boxes

blankets

and dog doors to play with.
It's so funny to me that my kids would almost always prefer to play with rocks, empty bottles (i.e. trash), random paper, etc. over their toys.
Are anyone else kids the same?

  3. I've joked -semi-seriously- about how we could throw away all the kids toys and just let them play with the ever-changing recycling bin. Since that is what they play with most. Eight to eighteen months, all five of them love it. There's always something new.

  4. Yes! My kids have taken to jars of peanut butter I bought at a case lot sale! Another favorite? The enormous package of toilet paper - perfect for a bed, apparently!
