New items in shop!

Ready, set, go!
Get them while they are hot :)

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches (from the Crockpot!)

I love the whole concept behind the crockpot.
Throw some stuff in it in the morning and
Viola!
instant meal come dinner time.
However I haven't found many crockpot recipes I really like
until this one!

It is so easy and makes yummy barbecue pulled pork (or beef) for sandwiches.
The first time I made it Aaron asked if I could make it once a week.
He and the kids all love it!

Ingredients:
-1 (1/12 pound) pork roast (or beef brisket)
-1/4 cup water
-1 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
-1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-1/2 teaspoon chili powder
-1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
-kaiser rolls or large hamburger buns

*I usually double this recipe :)

Step 1:
Trim fat from meat. You also made need to cut the brisket in half to fit in your crock pot.
Add water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder.
Cover and cook on low setting for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.

Step 2:
About 1 hour before serving, remove the meat from the crock pot.
Discard cooking liquid (I have left the liquid in before on accident and it's still good).

Step 3:
Using two forks to pull, shred meat and return to the crock pot.

Step 4:
Stir in barbecue sauce (I usually just add a whole bottle).

Cover and cook on high setting 30 minutes or until heated through.

Serve on rolls on hamburger buns and enjoy!

Yields 4-6 sandwiches.

I like to serve it along with corn on the cob and baked beans.
So yummy!

Bible verses for the kiddos room

A while ago Aaron and I started a project for the kids room
and in true Sellars' style,
a month and a half later,
it is finally finished!

Together Aaron and I chose a Bible verse for each of our kids
and then painted them on giant pieces of wood to hang in our kids room.
And by we, I mean my awesome husband.
He did pretty much the entire project by himself.
At least all the hard stuff :)

We chose Matthew 5:16 for Mackenzie.
She is our little ray of sunshine.
She is always filled with joy
and knows how to put a smile on even the grumpiest of faces.
Our prayer is that she would shine the light of Jesus to everyone she meets.

Wesley is a very studious little boy.
From the time he was a tiny baby people always commented on how serious he looked.
Don't get me wrong, he is super loving and likes to be silly
but for the most part he likes to observe and study things.
Our prayer is that he would be a man who knows and loves the truth of God's word and lives in step with it.

Here are the verses in the kids room.
Mackenzie's is hanging on the wall next to her bed,

and Wesley's is right above his crib.

Check out the tutorial we used and whip up something special and unique of your own.

Boutique

I love doing boutiques!
It's so fun to interact with my customers and to sell the things I love to make.
This boutique was extra fun because one of my friends decided to share a booth with me.
She made some adorable letters to hang in your kiddos room.
They are super cute.
Just see for yourself below.
Hope you guys had a great weekend too!

the set up.
While I love doing boutiques I dread trying to figure out how to display things.
It's definitely not a strength of mine
but somehow it always ends up good enough.

Luckily my awesome dad made this beauty to display my bibs and Taggie blankets.

More goodies.

Lots of bows.

Here are the letters.
See, aren't they super cute?

My friend doesn't have an online store but she is willing to make custom letters if anyone is interested :)

I also had lots of tie onesies and fabric flowers.
Hopefully the tie onesies will be up in the shop soon.
I'm trying to figure out if I should put them up before my next boutique or just wait until afterwards.
What do you guys think?
Anyone dying to get one NOW?

Upcycled T-shirt Dress

I don't know how Cheri from I am Momma Hear Me Roar does it.
Seriously.
She comes up with the cutest projects ever.
Usually they are boy related (she is the momma of 2 little boys)
but recently she came up with an adorable upcycled t-shirt dress for the girlies.

I loved it so much I had to share.

I'm really hoping I can squeeze in some time to make one of these for Mackenzie.
I have a whole pile of shirts waiting to be cut up.

Check out her tutorial here :)
