Notebook/Journal/Inspiration Book

I hope you guys aren't sick of these covered notebooks because I have been having so much fun making them! They are easy and inexpensive AND they make great gifts. What more can you ask for?

I made a few really last minute for the boutique and they all sold in the first half an hour. Who'd of thought they would be so popular?

I used the mmmcrafts flower template again to spice them up a bit. Such an easy embellishment but I think it totally makes it!

I added a ribbon flower to this one because I didn't have any coordinating paper for the mmmcrafts flower. A little different but cute too.

*I like the new way I have been making these better (with the binding showing) rather than the way I have in the tutorial. I think they lay better and the seam from the two pieces of paper doesn't show. Let me know if it would be helpful to make an updated tutorial for this new way of doing them.

Spring boutique

I had a great day today shopping, hanging out with friends, eating yummy food, and hearing an awesome speaker. Here are some pics of my booth...

(sorry the pictures didn't turn out better...I think my camera is having issues)

My friend Cyndi and I do a lot of boutiques together. Here is some of her cute stuff

Me and my friend Michelle (you can see how big my baby bump is getting)

Ruffle Butt Onesie

How adorable is this ruffle butt onesie (by Ucreate)!! If I was having a girl instead of a boy you better bet she would have a ton of these.

Boutique tomorrow

I love. love. love. boutiques.
I love shopping at them and I especially love selling my products at them. This weekend my church is having a Spring luncheon and boutique that I am super excited about (if you are in Orange County let me know and I'll give you the details)!
The only thing I don't love about boutiques is the utter chaos that goes on the week (or two or three) leading up to it as I prep. But thankfully, after many hours of sewing, I think I am fully stocked and ready for tomorrow and SO. SO. excited.

Crayon Rolls

Basic Bows, Bitty Bows, Snappie Clips, Mini Felt Flowers

Tie Onesies and More!

Lots of Quiltie Blankets with Tags

Superhero Dress Up Capes

Of course my NEW Ribbon Flower Clips

TONS of Bib and Burpie Sets

Fabric Flower Hair Clips

Car Seat Canopies

Lots of Tutu Bow Holders

Snappie Sets

Felt Flower Headbands for Mommies

Bib and Burpie Sets
*If you see something you like check out my online store and my etsy shop. They each have different products and are not fully loaded but hopefully I'll be able to update them this weekend.

Spice up a boring tee

Have a boring tee you want to add some sass to?

I found a plain red t-shirt for Mackenzie on sale at Walmart for $2.50. Since I'm a sucker for a good deal I bought it and got to thinking how I could spice it up a bit.

I remembered seeing a great template for flowers here so I printed it out and got working. I dug into my pile of scrap fabric and picked out a couple cute navy, white and red prints. Then I appliqued them onto the top corner of the shirt (using "Steam a Seam"...if you don't know what it is ask me. It makes appliquing so simple) and finsihed it off with a navy button.

Instant cutness!

Inspiration Book

I love getting new ideas for fun projects to make but most of the time I end up forgetting about them, losing the piece of paper I wrote it down on or not remembering where I found the idea (in case I want to go back to see more). So...I whipped up one of my super easy notebooks and claimed it as my inspiration book.

Now when I find a cute idea I write it down, draw a picture of it or cut it out of a magazine and put it in my handy notebook.

Such a practical (and easy!) way to keep all your great ideas together!
