This past weekend Mackenzie turned 10 months and in two more months she will be a year. That is so crazy to me! It seems like just the other day that I held her in my arms for the first time after months of anticipation. She was so tiny (ok not that tiny because she was a huge baby) and fragile and now she is mobile and full of energy. People always tell you that time goes by faster when you have kids and now I know that is true. Lately I have been trying to slow down and enjoy Mackenzie exactly how she is today because before I know it she will be another month older and then another year older...
Some things I am currently enjoying about my baby girl:
-her bubbly personality that continues to grow and develop each day. She is quite the people person and still such a happy and good baby
-cuddling with her any chance I get....now that she is mobile it is hard to get her to sit still
-watching her do and experience things for the first time
- her belly laughs that are contagious to anyone who hears them
- her cute baby noises and how she has full on conversations with herself and anyone who will listen in her baby languagage
Some new things she has been doing lately:
-Mackenzie has 7...yes 7...teeth! 4 on the top and 3 on the bottom
-She stands up on her own
-She stands up on her own
-She walks around holding onto furniture or with her walker and the other day just took her first steps alone
-She just recently learned how to drink out of a sippy cup...those things are tricky!
-She LOVES feeding herself and is way too grown up for baby food. Some of her favorites are Gerber puffs, cheese, peas, carrots, chicken, beef, potatoes, green beans, all fruit, etc.
-She recently figured out how to wave hi and bye
-Her favorite word is "Uh-oh" and she says it whenever she drops something, does something she is not supposed to be doing or any other time she feels like it
-She has a facination with our dog's toys and loves putting all of them in her mouth...and trying to eat our dog's food...and playing in her water bowl
