Summer Swaddling Blanket

Since Wesley will be a summer baby I wanted to make a lightweight swaddling blanket.

Something to keep him cozy but cool.

I have heard great things about these blankets so when I was at Joann's the other day and spotted some fabric (on sale of course) that looked similar I thought I would try it out.

I bought a little over a yard of the fabric,

washed and dried it,

hemmed the edges and appliqued a "W" on it.

Super simple and less than $7.

We try to swaddle our 1 month old and he fights it so badly. He squirms and grunts until he slips his arms out. It's funny to listen to.

What kind of fabric is this? How did you like it? I'm due in April (in TX) so it'll get warm quickly. I'd like to make some.
