2013 Resolutions

I love the start of a New Year.
Especially this year.
I feel like we needed a clean slate. a fresh start.
Last year was hard.
God definitely used every one of our challenges for good (like He always does) but I'm ready to leave it in the dust and start 2013.

Some people are not a fan of New Years Resolutions.
I however am.
I like to reflect on the past year and plan for the upcoming year.
There are always things I could be doing better or differently and I like to set a plan for success.
This year some of my Resolutions are...

Have a healthy baby and then get back into shape.
I'm pretty sure bed rest has stripped me of any muscles I used to have and has just left my body feeling blah.
I never would have thought I'd miss exercising (I use that term lightly) so much.

Eat healthier.
Isn't this on every one's list?
The plan is to make a green(ish) smoothie every morning for the family and to overall eat more fruits and veggies and less meat and dairy.

Read through the Bible in a year.
Last year I started off strong but a few months in I was so behind that I totally gave up.
This year the plan is to read or listen to the daily audio Bible everyday.
I'm sure this year there will be more listening than reading (with a new baby) and plenty of catch up days but I just want to be in God's Word regularly.

Read more, watch tv less.
We don't even have cable but lately I have noticed that after the kids go to bed Aaron and I still get sucked into all the new shows or movies on Netflix.
This year I want to set aside a night or two a week where we read.
I feel like it's got to be better for our brains then vegging out in tv land.
Plus we have a million good books I'm excited to get into.

  Date Night
I love hanging out with my hubby.
He's definitely my favorite person to be around.
We are homebodies and love having our weekly game nights and movie nights but it's also good to get out of the house (without the kids) once in a while.
Since baby Hudson will be joining us this year
and well let's face it baby sitters are expensive
we decided monthly date nights (out of the house) were a good goal to shoot for.
I've got some fun ideas in store too!

Pictures
I will get some family photo albums put together this year.
I'm only 6 years behind :)
But this is the year I will catch up.

What are some of your New Year's Resolutions?

One of my resolutions is to catch up on photos as well! I'm about 5 years behind. Lil' Blue Boo has had some excellent blog posts on how to catch up.
