Big Sister tank

I can't believe my baby is going to be a big sister!
Using left over scraps, I made this super easy "Big Sister" shirt for Mackenzie to wear to the hospital when she meets her brother for the first time.
Only a couple more weeks! I can't wait!

All I did was print out the letters (in the font and size I wanted) on my computer, cut them out, traced them on to steam a seam with the fabric on one side and then ironed them onto a tank top I got for $2 from Old Navy. Super easy!

Now everyone at the hospital will know who Wesley's big sister is!

That is so cute! When using the steam a seam, does the fabric ravel? I'd love to use that to applique some stuff on shirts.

Hi Cori!

Yes the faric usually does fray a bit on the ends but not enough to bother me. If you want a really clean look I would suggest adding Fray Check to the edges to prevent any fraying. Hope that helps!

So cute! I wish I would have seen this 6 months ago...I just used iron-on "big brother" letters on a shirt for our older son.

I came over from Joy's Hope and I love your blog!

Hi there! I just found your blog this morning via Joy's Hope! I just wanted to say how much I have loved reading through all your amazing projects. And furthermore, I was excited to see how much we have in common. I have an 18-month-old daughter and I am pregnant with a little boy who is due on October 12th. I am also a stay-at-home Mom who has an Etsy shop! I love the blog world!

God Bless your sweet family, and thanks for all the fun crafty ideas that have inspired me this morning!

I too just found my way over here from Joy's Hope and wanted to say,"Yippee!!" I'm heading to the store today. I'm due with my third in the next few weeks as well and could not make myself purchase big sis/bro t-shirts for my kids because the ones I loved were $25 each. Yes, seriously. I hadn't seen anything that I was just, "in love with", but now you have given me inspiration. So, as soon as Hancock's opens today I'm going to replace my stash of heat n'bond!! I can't wait!! Thank you for the idea!!
