Freezing

A month ago we moved into an awesome
but old
house by the beach.

Some things you should know about our awesome but old house by the beach.
It has...
No air conditioning
No garbage disposable
No dishwasher
(which are all a little inconvenient but totally fine)
But here's the kicker
It has
no. centralized. heating.
I didn't even know that was possible.
I thought all houses came with heaters.
Not the case. Not the case at all.

Oh and did I mention I'm partially cold blooded.
Seriously I'm the weirdo who wears a jacket in the summer
because I'm always cold.

So we've been enjoying nightly fires
because they are pretty and cozy
but mainly because they keep us (me) warm.

We have no dishwasher either. Blah! I was okay with it at first, but after almost 3 years of handwashing, I'm done! I'd kill for a dishwasher.

The last house I lived in with my mom (built by her parents) had no central heat or air. In Florida!! It had two window units for the ac and a gas heater (with open flames) in the hallway. That on top of tile floors, jalousie windows and plaster walls made for a pretty chilly house!
