Some owl friends

Wesley has been begging me to make him a stuffed animal.
He really wanted a boy version of the monkey I made Kenzie a while ago but I had something else in mind...

Some cute and colorful little owls.
Of course once I decided to make one for Wesley, Mackenzie wanted one too.
And since I was making one for Wesley and Mackenzie I figured I should make one for Madelyn (you know how it goes).

I let each of the big kids pick out what fabrics they wanted their owls to be (which they thought was the coolest thing ever).

Wesley watched me like a hawk as I pinned and cut and ironed and sewed.
He loved being a part of the process.
And he loved being able to help me stuff them with stuffing.

All 3 of them love their new little friends and carry them all over the house.
I kind of love them too.

We also made one for our little niece Paisly who was born premature at 25 weeks along but who is doing awesome!

*I think I'm going to be making a few of these to list in the shop so keep posted if you are interested!

A peek at our week

Here's a little peek into our week through the camera lens of my trust iPhone.
Enjoy!

The weather has been sunny and beautiful lately!
Way too beautiful to be indoors.

Love that little lip!

The Mister and I heart buffalo wings.
 a lot.

Remember these phones?
It's Madelyn's fav.

We went to a friend's birthday party.
How cool is that cake?!

I love them!

We love walking around the outdoor mall by our house.

Little man got a new hat.

Wiped out after a long day Wes fell asleep on Daddy's lap.

Mackenzie had her last swim lesson.
She has been doing awesome and loves the water!

The kids always have fun playing with our laundry baskets while I do laundry.
Today they were putting Madelyn in baby jail.
She thought it was so funny!

A new project in the works...

I made the chicken pot pie again.
It is so delicious, I definitely need to give you the recipe soon!

Introducing the kids to the finer things in life.

I made some new little friends for the kids (details soon!).

She just kills me with cuteness!

Wesley and I had a little Mommy and me date while Kenzie was at preschool!
Can't go wrong with the park and some Slurpees.

Hope you guys had a great week too!

Frozen Banana Bites

Guess what...

Hooray!
I love Pinterest.
My boards are full of cute and yummy stuff and brilliant ideas.
The only thing I'm lacking is the time and energy to actually do them.

But this week I did it!
I carved out some time and made this little "recipe" I have been drooling over for months.

It's pretty hard to go wrong with anything that involves chocolate, bananas and peanut butter.
They were definitely a hit in our house.

Oh and super easy to make...
just cut a banana into pieces, top with peanut butter, dip in melted chocolate and freeze.

Mmmmm....

Next time I think I'll make them the same without freezing them.
I forgot how hard and cold a frozen banana is (or maybe I'm just a wimp)
but it kind of made my teeth hurt trying to eat them and I had to cut them up for the kids to eat.

But frozen or not frozen they are definitely worth a try.

Yay for a Pinterest success.
Now to tackle the rest of my pins :) http://pinterest.com/

sacred time

The hours of 1:00-3:00 are a sacred time in our house.
A time to be guarded and protected at all costs.
If you call me during these hours I will not answer my phone
and I will never ever agree to a social activity that crosses into this time slot.
Because friends,
during these most special hours of the day
these three little ones are sleeping

and chances are if they are sleeping, I am sleeping to.

A peek into our week...Friday Randoms

I can't believe it's Friday again (and March...how did that happen?)!
The weeks just keep flying by!
Here's a peek into our week through the camera lens of my phone.
Enjoy!

Daddy took Wes on a man date while

the girls and I went to a Pretend City (a children's museum by us).

The boy went back to the doctor a.g.a.i.n. for his puncture wound
It's like the never ending thing around here
but I think this time it really is finally getting better.

Oh I just love him!

You would have thought it was Christmas morning when I showed the kids the new mac and cheese I bought them.
I was the coolest mom ever.

I had some friends over for a bow party.

We all made fun hair goodies for our girlies.
This was one our favorite patterns for felt flowers.
Super easy and cute!

My brother and his fiance Bedina were baptized at church!

I made some homemade chicken pot pie.
With 11 vegetables in it.
That the kids ate and liked!
Score!

We did some picnicking.
Which I am convinced is way easier than cleaning up the after lunch mess my kids make when we eat lunch at home.
Plus it's much more fun.

The kids are finally into the slippers I got them for Christmas.
And now I have to re explain to Wesley why he can't wear slippers outside every time we get ready to leave the house.

We went to the park.

The kids new favorite thing is the monkey bars.

She's just so cute!

Just a peek into some of the craziness that goes on in our house.
Madelyn is attacking Mackenzie with tongs and she is pretending to take a nap on top of the laundry basket.
I swear my kids don't even like to play with real toys.

Me and my little buddy reading our favorite book together.

The Lord's been teaching me some good stuff this week.
Man, the word of God is so good!

My big helpers

Hanging out while Mackenzie was at swim.

We went to the Rainforest Cafe for the first time since Aaron and I were kids.

Man that place is cool!
Way over priced and not super good food but really cool!

I finally finished 14 new pairs of drool pads!
Now all I have to do is list them in the shop.

We did a little home tattooing.

And little Missy fell asleep in the jumper while I was putting clothes away in the other room.
I was wondering why she was being so quiet :)

Watch out! You might be next...

Remember my addiction to blue and white striped clothing?
I think it's really a highly contagious condition that is now infecting our whole house.
First it hit me (BAD), then Aaron, and now Mackenzie.

Mackenzie saw the shirt above at Target the other day and said, "Mom, that shirt is just like yours. We can be twins!"
How could I say no to that!
