A blankie for my baby...

Mackenzie is sick.
again/still.
She and Wesley were just starting to get over RSV and ear infections
then BAM.
She gets Croup.
I think there should be rules about how many times kids can get sick in one month.

All the sickness
combined with being on house arrest
has left Mackenzie in need of a major pick me up.
She's been miserable for the past 2 weeks.
So to cheer my sick baby girl up
I went to my sewing machine and
made her a new blankie.
Because there is nothing my baby loves more than her blankets.

A soft. wild. crazy. quilty. blanket.

made up of a bunch of scraps
from my favorite blanket materials

with a satin border.
My first (and maybe last time) attempting blanket binding.
Notice I didn't post any pictures of the corners :)

It's gotten lots of loving lately.
I'm so glad Mackenzie likes it!

It looks like such a snuggly blanket. Hope she feels better soon!

i am SO with you on the sickness within a month. my daughter was sick straight with different BAD infections from the second week of december until mid february. it was MADDENING! and I felt SO bad for her.
hey i am with you as well on the blanket binding. however i dont know any other way to do it. i am a novice sewer and i do two pieces of flannel put together and a silky binding ( but the binding NEVER looks good). how else do you bind blankets? i am sooo new.
