Fresh. easy. green. gift wrap ideas

Let's just talk about gift bags for a sec.

I try to avoid wrapping gifts at all costs.
For one reason cute gift wrap is so expensive
and I'd rather spend an extra $5-$10 on the actual gift
opposed to something the person is going to tear up and throw away.
Also let's just admit it...
I'm a little lazy and it is quicker/easier to throw something in a bag with some tissue paper.

With that said
I heart gift bags and
I'm all about reusing gift bags.
I always save the bags we get gifts in
and then use them again when we have a party to go to.
Usually this involves me grabbing whatever is in my stash
and throwing everything together super.last.minute.

The other day I had a baby shower to go to.
All I had in the stash was this lime green bag.
Which totally worked because the colors for the shower were lime green, black and white
but it was a little boring by itself.
So I grabbed a couple of pieces of scrap fabric,
tied them onto my plain jane bag
and Voila!

the perfect little touch

Also while I was at the shower
I noticed one of my friends gave her gift in a reusable shopping bag.
What a great idea!
You can get bags like the one above for $1!
Just throw some tissue in and your good to go.
Way cheaper and cuter than a normal gift bag.
Plus they can reuse it for something else if they want.

I also found this website that shows you how to use
these awesome bags to wrap your gift in

so many fun colors to choose from.

What are your favorite ways to wrap gifts?

I love the idea of using a reusable shopping bag! If only I could find one as cute as the one pictured....

I have about 10 of the BagguBags and LOVE them! They hold a ton and I have had them for over a year without any signs of wear and tear!

I definitely use gift bags more than paper. And I reuse them! I HATE paying $5 for a bag. A lot of the time, if I'm buying a bag, I go with the inexpensive solids also.

Those bags are neat though!
